Must-try kakigori, shaved ice, in Osaka

Summer in Japan is synonymous with kakigori! Have you heard about Japan's amazing shaved ice varieties? You can find these at festivals too but Japan has many gourmet-style shaved ice too! It is definitely the next level of this simple dessert loved by everyone. We've put together some of our favorite stores in Osaka which have unique versions of this refreshing dessert!

cocoo　cafe （コクウカフェ）

This cafe has become popular because of its creme brulee kakigori. True to its name, which has the Japanese word "aburi" meaning cooking with flames, the custard topped on shaved ice gets a lovely crisp top in front of you!

This place elevates the simple shaved ice in a pretty way! A particularly popular flavor is the Sakura Mochi Mochi Gori（桜もちもち氷）which is decorated with strawberries!
