Good Design Store Tokyo: your one stop for innovative souvenirs in Japan

When you think of picking up souvenirs in Japan, the most obvious things that come to mind are things like hand fans, chopsticks, maneki neko. But there are so many more cool things that you can buy for friends and family! One store where you can find budget-friendly as well as unique souvenirs is the Good Design Store by Nohara. This store exclusively deals in products that have won the "Good Design Award."
Located on the third floor in KITTE Marunouchi, right opposite the Marunouchi South Exit of Tokyo Station and close to the Imperial Palace, you can't miss this amazing, chic store. Let's see what you can find here!

DESIGN NORI ®

One of my personal favorites, this is a great present for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. Usually, foreigners are averse to the texture, look and taste of nori (seaweed) but by creating these beautiful laser-cut traditional Japanese designs, the idea of eating nori might change.
Regular size sheets and mini versions available.

Guinomi Sake Cups (o-chokko)

Kisen, an evolutionary brand, focuses on combining bronze Toyama prefecture. These sake cups are a combination of wood which is shaved to a thinness of a few millimeters and metal. Evoking natural forms through its curves, here you see cups shaped like Mt. Fuji.

Shogi de Chocolat

Shogi, a game similar to chess, is quite popular and these chocolates are shaped like the pieces used to play shogi.

Suwada Nail Nippers

Ergonomically designed, these nail nippers are made using steel and have a non-slip grip.

Mizu Color

Organic paint made using over 90% natural materials that can be used to paint wooden surfaces.

AuthaGraph Globe

A paper craft globe kit to create a 2D AuthaGraph world map - the most accurate representation of the globe. The package contains three different sets of paper for the globe of the sphere, the globe of the intermediate body, and the globe of the regular tetrahedron.

Buta no Otoshi Buta (Silicone Pan Covers)

Shaped like the nose of a pig, these heat resistant pan covers can also be used instead of a cling wrap while heating food in your microwave. Check the video for other cool things that we haven't mentioned here!! Hope we have inspired you to look for slightly out-of-the-box presents for family and friends during your trip to Japan!
