Make your own unique Cup of Instant Noodles in Yokohama

Instant noodles have become popular all over the world but Japan is known as the origin of this instant food. If you visit Japan, you'll probably be flabbergasted by the variety of flavors available in instant noodles. Of course, since its cheap its great for when you're broke! But did you know you can make your own original Cup of Instant Noodles?

In this feature, we talk about the CUPNOODLES MUSEUM in Yokohama where you can create and design a cup to suit your flavor palette. This attraction is located at an 8-minute walk from Minatomirai Station.
You can spot this red brick building from a distance! Are you excited to see what's in store?
The entrance fee to this museum is 500 yen for visitors over 18 years, and is free for those under 18 years old.
This entrance ticket uses a QR code system and we recommend you make a reservation in advance as its a popular tourist attraction.
You can make your own Cup Noodles just for 300 yen. Since the cup is blank, before choosing flavors and toppings, you can even design your own Cup as shown below. If you plan to gift it, how about writing your friend's name? ♡
After designing and making our own Cup, we went up to the 4th floor to see figures of birthday cakes on display to commemorate the birthday of 'chicken ramen' products ♡
On the 4th floor, there is a NOODLES BAZAAR where you can enjoy noodle dishes from various countries. This area has the feel of a food alley where you can try various yummy noodle dishes!
Of course, we decided to try the thing that looked the strangest!
Ice Cream Cup Noodles, would you dare to try?
This ice cream is topped with dried vegetables and apparently, this ice cream has a flavor like that of instant noodles.
We returned to the 2nd floor to see the remaining displays at this museum.
You can see the history of each instant noodle product that was developed over the years as well as find various types of instant noodles from all over the world.
There are approximately 3000 types of instant noodles displayed here. How amazing is that? Did you even know that there were so many types of instant noodles?

Before going home, you can even buy souvenirs to take home at the souvenir shop near the gate!
