Snoopy Time Capsule Exhibition at Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store, Tokyo

Charles M. Schulze's original comic "PEANUTS" will celebrate its 70th anniversary on October 2, 2020, and to commemorate this, "PEANUTS 70th Anniversary Snoopy Time Capsule Exhibition" will be held nationwide.

The exhibition will be held in major urban areas of Japan: Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya. Today we introduce our experience exploring the Snoopy Time Capsule Exhibition at Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store, Tokyo, the first part of these exhibition series in Japan.

You'll get a key after purchasing your tickets at the entrance. There are five comic strip checkpoints in the exhibition hall where you have to tap your key, so make sure to look for them and tap your key. If you tap your key on all checkpoints, you'll get a small gift at the exit when leaving the exhibition area.

The entire exhibition is arranged in chronological order, just like a time capsule. Let's start our journey in the year of 1950, when PEANUTS comic first released.

The exhibition displays many original paintings and unknown little stories.

There are a lot of attractive photo spots inside the exhibition hall, which some allow you to be a part of a comic scene with other PEANUTS characters. Make sure to snap some shots for the gram here!
