Chirihama Nagisa Driveway is a natural driveway on a sand beach. It is a 8 km long beach driveway from Imahama in Hodatsushimizu-cho to Senrihama-cho in Hakui city. The sand particles on this beach are finer than usual and contains the seawater forming a firm beach so much so that cars can run on it. There is no other beach like this in Japan. It is lined with food stalls that sell steamed seafood from spring to autumn. The sea is shallow off the shore and suited for bathing and seashell gathering.
