Butsu-den (Main Hall) enshrines the principal image of Buddha, the seated wooden statue of Hokan Shaka Nyorai. It was damaged by the great Kanto earthquake of 1923 and rebuilt 40 years later. The "white dragon" is painted on the ceiling of Butsu-den.

Kojirin is the hall for Zen meditation. They have free Zen meditation sessions twice a day on Saturdays. Take this chance if you are interested. Kojirin is colored with hydrangeas in summer and red and yellow leaves in autumn.
