This garden is a designated Special Place of Scenic Beauty. It shows its beauty in each season: cherry blossoms in spring, fresh green in summer, fall foliage in fall, and in winter, yuki-tsuri (a kind of rope umbrella as a measure to protect trees from the weight of snow). There are about 340 maple trees, 420 cherry trees, 60 Japanese Zelkovas, some euonymus, and Japanese enkianthus.
