Tulips announce the beginning of spring in Kuju Park. A tulip festival is held in the flower field every year from mid-April to early May. During the event, around 100,000 red, yellow and white tulips blossom and color the whole field.
A lavender festival is held on the Lavender Hill from late June until mid-July. The number of blossoming lavender bushes is 50,000, the largest in west Japan, and it fills the whole park with the fragrance and color of lavender.
The cosmos are planted on the largest surface of the park. There are as many as one million! The best season to view the cosmos is from mid-September to mid-October when the whole surface of the hill turns pink, creating a spectacular view.
