Ao-no-sekai (blue world) is an illumination in an approximately 100-meter-long tunnel that shines beautifully in blue. When you walk through the tunnel that is lit with four different tones of blue slowly changing their color, you feel almost as if you are floating in the sky or in water.

Illuminations created over water are quite rare in Japan. Nabana no Sato's Canal of Lights is the biggest over water illumination in the country that is about 5 meters wide and 120 meters long. The great canal, illuminated using the latest computer technology that is able to project around 64 billion different colors, is quite stunning!

In front of the chapel in Nabana no Sato, there are two symbolic trees. During the period of winter illumination, lights reach out to every single little branch of the trees, transforming them into an elegant and gorgeous sight.

The Hikari no Unkai (sea of clouds in lights) is made of blue LED lights spread across a surface just like a sea of clouds. The crystal white arch inside the sea of clouds has a legend that if a couple walks through this arch together they will live happily ever after. It has become the most popular spot among couples in recent years.

Flower festivals are held in Nabana no Sato every year from March until July. Within Japan's four seasons, spring is the time when flowers bloom most beautifully. Late February to late March is the season for plum and cherry blossoms, followed by a relay of flowers like tulips, roses and hydrangea.

During the autumn flower festivals held every year from September until October, 3,200 dahlias of 200 kinds and 1.5 million cosmos decorate the biggest flower field in Japan. After sunset when the field is lit, the fantastically illuminated flowers present a different beauty from that during the day.
